Alex Seddon
Board Chair
Alex Seddon was born in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. He spent his formative years in Alta, Wyoming and St. Louis, Missouri where he graduated from Ladue Horton Watkins High School. It was in Wilson and St. Louis where he first learned how to ice skate and play the game of hockey. He attended college at Colorado State University in Fort Collins and graduated with a degree in EnvironmentalScience. While living in Colorado he worked in the landscape industry and enjoyed many types of outdoor activities. Currently Alex resides outside of Tetonia, Idaho where he owns and operates a landscape construction company. During the winter months he maintains the Alta ice rink and spends time skiing and playing ice hockey.

Mara Brannon
Treasurer
After 20 years in Texas, Mara & her husband found paradise in Teton Valley in 2014. She has a background in financial analysis and over 30 years of experience in healthcare software technologies, specializing in project management and new product launches. Mara is a graduate of Dartmouth College and the University of Texas McCombs School of Business. She has served on several non-profit boards in the valley including the Teton Valley Health Foundation, Family Safety Network, and currently serves on the Teton Valley Foundation, the Good Shepherd Pastoral Council, the Act Foundation Board, and the PAWS of Teton Valley Advisory Panel. She and her husband Jack of 35+ years have 2 adult children, 2 five-year-old puppies, love fly fishing, skiing, and Teton Valley.

Julie Stomper
Vice Chair
Julie has called Teton Valley home for over 25 years. She earned her undergraduate degree in International Relations from Tufts University and her law degree from Gonzaga University. As an attorney, mom, and active community member, she couldn’t imagine a better place to live, work, play, and raise her family. She is grateful to be able to serve on the board of the Teton Valley Foundation, which embodies the sense of community through Music on Main and the Kotler Ice Arena programs.

Liz Moseley
Secretary
As a seasoned search professional with more than 20 years of consulting experience with Storbeck Search and A.T. Kearney, Liz has assisted more than 250 searches in higher education, for independent schools, and in the nonprofit sector, identifying and recruiting academic and administrative leaders. Prior to entering the executive search industry, she held a position in the Regulatory Advisory Practice at KPMG. She also currently serves as the human resource director for a real estate school and holds a BA in International Studies from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
Liz has volunteered for Music on Main and Youth Hockey since 2017 and is co-parent manager of the High School Hockey Team. Liz is active in a number of community organizations. She has served on the board of Wyoming Stargazing, the Teton Valley Ski Education Foundation (TVSEF), and the Jackson Hole Community School (JHCS).
She is the spouse of a retired Naval Officer and the mother of three boys. They enjoy spending time outdoors.

Kurt Grimmelmann
Board Member
Originally from New Jersey, Kurt first bought property in Victor in 2014. He moved here full time in 2020. He received his undergraduate degree in business management from Nichols College in Massachusetts. He received an MBA in finance from Pace University in New York City. He had a 40 year career in finance, 38 of those years were with Merrill Lynch. He earned his Certified Financial Planner designation and completed level one of the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. He retired in 2016.
While in New Jersey Kurt served as treasurer on the board of the YMCA of Greater Bergen County and the board of the New Jersey Hemophilia Association.
His hobbies include enjoying live music events, golfing, skiing, trekking and climbing. He has summited Grand Teton, Kilimanjaro, and Gran Paradiso in Italy. He has trekked at locations around the world, including several trips to the Himalayas. Now a full-time resident of Teton Valley, Kurt is eager to give back to the community in his role as a board member with TVF.

Joy Hart
Board Member
Joy Hart is the sole proprietor of Idaho Live LLC, now based in Driggs, and has independently promoted many of Idaho’s finest Americana, Folk, and Indie Rock concerts. She has been active in nearly every facet of the music industry for over 20 years. During this time, she’s chalked up a wealth of valuable knowledge and business acumen in concert production, artist marketing, social media, and venue management.
Joy’s Idaho roots are deep. Her father, Boyd Miller of the Idaho Aviation Hall of Fame, moved to McCall in1986. Joy’s career in media, marketing and event production began at Idaho Iceworld in Boise in 2002. Her involvement with Idaho Iceworld and the Simplot Foundation was instrumental in the transfer of the rink to Boise Parks and Recreation leading to more community participation and programming. Joy’s past experience makes her a natural fit with TVF. She spends her spare time enjoying live music, as well as loving and tending this amazing life we’ve all cultivated here in Teton Valley!

Ari Kotler
Board Member
In 2005, Ari founded Teton Basin Ice & Recreation (TBIR). In 2010, TBIR merged with TVF, providing TVF its first significant recreational programming and the ability to hire a full time ED. It was Ari’s vision to develop a recreational ice facility for the community of Teton Valley Idaho. It was his hard work and vision that made it a reality. Ari is a committed father to his daughter and operates SOAR Northwest, an outfitting operation on the Selway and Salmon Rivers in Idaho. He has been a philanthropic and dedicated community member since 1998 and has served on the Idaho Outfitters and Guide Association BOD since 2012. The Kotler Ice Rink is named for Ari and his family. Their dedication to bringing affordable winter recreation to the valley is unparalleled.

Brendon McHargue
Board Member
Growing up in central NY solidified Brendon’s love of the outdoors and sports, no matter the season. His life-long passion for hockey started at age five and he hasn’t stopped yet, currently playing for leagues in both Teton Valley and Jackson. He also played lacrosse in his youth; his hard work and dedication earned him a position on the Syracuse University team. After college, Brendon’s travels across the country to ski eventually brought him to Jackson, where the beauty of the mountains and wide-open space led him to make Teton Valley his home for the past 22 years. He currently works as a project manager for Dembergh Construction and is an entrepreneur, having started several local businesses over the years. Brendon is a co-founder of the Teton Valley Youth Lacrosse Association, and coaches youth hockey and lacrosse. Brendon and his wife Kerri, along with sons Tucker, Crosby, and Emmett, and their dog Moss, spend their free time on the rivers and in the mountains they call home.

Derek Ellis
Board Member
Derek grew up in Ohio, but after graduating from Miami University, he traded the flat-lands of the Midwest for the alluring landscapes of the West. Derek landed in Teton Valley in 1994 making it home-base while conducting field biology studies, guiding ski tours, working for local businesses, and running a meat processing business. In 2016, Derek gave up the valley shuffle for a full-time work with the Jackson Hole Land Trust where he continues to work as the Director of Stewardship. Derek is excited to bring his knowledge of non-profit management to help grow the extraordinary community assets that the TVF operates. Although he has dreams of curling greatness, Derek primarily enjoys sharing the wonders of the Greater Yellowstone Area with his wife, Jen, and two daughters, Lila and Quinn

Shannon Brooks Hamby
Shannon moved to the Tetons from Boston, MA over 17 years ago and lives with her husband Curt and daughter Cadence in Victor, ID. She spent 14+ years in resort, tourism, and outdoor industry marketing and public relations before transitioning to the nonprofit field as the Executive Director of the Community Foundation of Teton Valley, where she launched the Youth Philanthropy program. Shannon is currently the Executive Director for CLIMB Wyoming and a volunteer for several nonprofits in Teton Valley. She has served as a Big Sister, as a Teton Valley Chamber of Commerce board member, as Chair of the Teton Valley Marketing Alliance and is a volunteer coordinator for Stripping for a Cure, an annual all-women’s fly fishing fundraiser for local cancer organizations.
Jenny Wade
Originally from Memphis TN, Jenny took the long way round to get to Teton Valley. Upon graduating from Loyola University Chicago, Jenny spent four years studying the behavior of rhesus macaque monkeys in the Caribbean before earning a Master’s of Studies in Environmental Law at Vermont Law School. Jenny left Vermont to travel to Phoenix, AZ where she spent 15 years as the founder and Executive Director of Paw Placement Animal Rescue, an organization that is now one of the largest animal rescues in the state of Arizona. However, the triple-digit heat was just too much and Jenny had always loved the Tetons. So, she packed up her three dogs and moved to Victor, ID in 2014. Jenny served as the Executive Director of Teton Valley Hospital Foundation for 3 years and is enthusiastic about her new role as Group Sales Director at Teton Springs. She has been a Music on Main volunteer for five seasons and enjoys seeing everyone come through the front gates. She loves hiking, snowshoeing, and pretty much everything about Idaho.
