The Teton Valley Foundation is thrilled to announce a significant milestone in the expansion plan for the Kotler Arena. We have placed the order for the steel needed to enclose the northeast wall, marking the commencement of Phase 1 of our exciting development project. Construction is expected to break ground this spring, bringing us one step closer to realizing our vision for a more vibrant and functional community space.
The enclosure of the northeast wall will result in the addition of three locker rooms and much needed spectator space, providing enhanced facilities for our growing user base. As the demand for ice time and community events continues to rise, we recognize the need to expand and evolve to meet the needs of our diverse and expanding community.
Ari Kotler, board member and namesake of the Kotler Arena, expressed his excitement about the upcoming expansion, stating, “This is a pivotal moment for our organization as we take another significant step forward in providing a top-notch facility for our community. The addition of more locker rooms and upgraded spectator space will not only enhance the user experience but also allow us to better serve our ever-growing user base.”
However, the Teton Valley Foundation’s vision for the completed project extends beyond the ice and will impact the entire community. The ambitious expansion plans aim to transform the Kotler Arena into a year-round community hub – a versatile space that can be utilized for all sports and recreation groups, music events, markets, and more. It represents an opportunity to create a vibrant and dynamic gathering place for the Teton Valley community, fostering a culture of inclusivity, connectivity, and active engagement.
