The Inaugural Porcelain Bowl Blowout held at Kotler Ice Arena on November 17th & 18th was a fundraiser for our Kotler Ice Arena Capital Campaign. The 3 v 3 Pond Hockey Tournament featured 28 teams in 3 different age divisions battling to “Rule the Throne” as Porcelain Bowl Champions.

The tournament was a huge success and raised $5,729 toward funding rink construction projects and adding an additional bathroom to the rink! The need for another bathroom was clearly demonstrated when during the tournament the bathroom went temporarily out of order. Hockey players & fans came together to support the effort to improve our rink facilities and enjoy hockey the old school way. Additional funds were raised by hungry players & spectators enjoying pastries and tacos from Victor’s Butter Cafe who donated 25% of their proceeds to the cause.

Tournament Champions:

The Looky Loo 10-12 Year Old Youth Division – IF Hockey Hounds

The Power Squat Women’s Division – Scat Attack

The Crap Shooters Adult Coed Rec Division – The Steelheads

Many thanks to all of the teams for coming out to play in support of rink expansion!

Special thanks to Laid Back USA for providing smiling hockey toilet t-shirts to the first 20 teams who registered.
