2021 – 2022 Teton Valley Foundation Youth Hockey Registration Information
The Cutthroats have been growing in size and performance at an impressive rate, and this season is sure to stay the path under the purview of our new Youth Hockey Director Cody Nolan! Below is this season’s registration information that we hope covers everything you’ll need to know. If there are remaining questions, please don’t hesitate to email us at Cutthroats@tetonvalleyfoundation.org. We’ve got more ice time, more opportunities and more skilled leadership than ever before, and we can’t wait to see what this year has in store! Teton Valley Foundation Youth Hockey Registration opens on September 1, 2021.
We offer rental gear for all participants registered in U10 (Squirts) or under. Fees are $60 for a full set of protective gear, which includes a helmet, shoulder pads, elbow pads, breezers, shin guards, and a hockey bag. Our rental gear package does not include skates, a stick or a mouth guard, all of which you are required to provide. We are hosting a Hockey Gear Swap at the Kotler Ice Arena on Saturday October 2nd, so be sure to check there for some good deals on skates!
This year all age groups U10 and above will be participating in a skills evaluation prior to the first practice of the season. This process will allow our coaches the opportunity to get to know their team’s strengths and what needs to be improved entering the on ice season. All registered players will have opportunities to compete in game settings throughout the season.
VOLUNTEER HOUR REQUIREMENTS
In order to continue developing our nonprofit Youth Hockey program, create a sense of community among parents, and keep costs as low as possible, parents will again be required to volunteer at least 4 hours of time per season per child. This can include coaching, supporting tournaments, fundraising, being a team manager, and more. For families with multiple children registered for hockey, the deposit and minimum volunteer hour commitment will be capped at 2 children. A $150 deposit in the form of a check made out to “Teton Valley Foundation” and dated March 20, 2022 will be held to insure this commitment by all families. When the volunteer hours are completed, the check will be shredded. If volunteer hours are not completed by March 20, 2022 the deposit will be donated to Youth Hockey. We can’t stress enough how important the volunteer service is to our organization; we would much rather have your time than cash your deposit check!
